“The Recess” by Director Navid Nikkhah Azad competes in the 18th Alicante Film Festival in Spain, which runs from May 29 – June 7, 2021.
“The Recess” marks its 22nd international appearance at Alicante Film Festival in Spain.
Festival de Cine de Alicante (Alicante Film Festival) was founded in 2004 with the aim of supporting and disseminating film culture.
The event began as a sample of short films and feature film presentations, evolved to become one of the benchmarks in the province.
Alicante Film Festival (Festival de Cine de Alicante) is a Goya-qualifying film festival.
The Goya Awards are Spain’s main national annual film awards. The awards were established in 1987, a year after the founding of the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences, and the first awards ceremony took place on March 16, 1987 at the Teatro Lope de Vega, Madrid.
“The Recess” competes in the International Short Films competition section of the festival.
