“The Recess” marks its 76th international appearance at the Spokane International Film Festival in the U.S.
The Spokane International Film Festival, now in its 23rd year of running, takes place annually in the heart of Spokane, Washington, in the U.S. The festival showcases world-class films, the very best features, documentaries, and shorts, that have been made around the world during the past year.
“The Recess” tells the story of young Sahar who is determined to watch her favorite soccer team play for the league championship. Inspired by true events, “The Recess” explores gender oppression in Iranian modern society.
The 23rd Spokane International Film Festival (SpIFF) is organized virtually from February 4-16, 2022 on Eventive.
