Tehran (NAVID AZAD) – ‘The Recess’ by Navid Nikkhah Azad has won 4 awards at the 8th Digital Griffix Film Awards in Canada.
The 8th Digital Griffix Film Awards in Canada has honored the Iranian short drama ‘The Recess,’ portraying the tragic story of Sahar Khodayari (Iranian Blue Girl), with best awards for Best Cinematography (Behrouz Badrouj), Best Original Score (Mikhail Shmatenko), Best Sound Design (Ehsan Afsharian), Best Producer (Navid Nikkhah-Azad).
The Digital Griffix Film Awards is an IMDB-listed international online awards competition, which takes place each three months. The Canadian movie awards competition, formerly known as Digital Griffix Film Festival, announced the winners of the 8th edition in different categories on March 8, 2022.
‘The Recess’ (‘El Recreo’), which brings the story of Sahar Khodayari (Iranian Blue Girl) to life, has been officially selected to compete in more than 85 international film festival and has won 16 awards.
The acclaimed movie has been picked for the main competition of notable international film festivals such as ‘Festival Internacioal de Cine de Lebu’ (Academy Awards Qualifying film festival), ‘Festival de Cine de Alicante’ (recognized by Goya Awards), ‘Santo Domingo Global Film Festival’ (accredited by FIAPF).
