Iranian acclaimed movie “The Recess,” directed by Navid Nikkhah Azad, received nominations in two main categories of the 8th Digital Griffix Film Awards for Best Director and Best Drama.
“The Recess” marks its 78th international appearance at the 8th Digital Griffix Film Awards in Canada.
“The Recess” tells the story of young Sahar who is determined to watch her favorite soccer team play for the league championship. Inspired by true events, “The Recess” explores gender oppression in Iranian modern society.
The 8th edition of the Digital Griffix Film Awards will announce the 2022 award winners on March 1, 2022.
